The Evolution of Gwen: Embracing my reflection
Year 38 began with the word MASTERPIECE. It was all about embracing my reflection.
I have such a strong village but no gains can be made if I don’t see what they see, nor believe what God declares in his word about me. So I declared that I AM A MASTERPIECE (Ephesians 2:10) all year long (and will continue to do so)!
Initially, my reflection was the picture of “Academy Award Recovery.” I was picture perfect, but when I looked at my photo album entitled, “The Evolution of Gwen”, I realized that the album was full of “act-recovered” faces. There was the, “I’m fine” face when I desperately missed my Mother and felt like an orphan. The “Here’s my happy face” when I was filled with insecurities and questions concerning my worth and the value of my contributions. The “I have to be strong” face when I was so weak. The “I am OK” face when I was far from OK.
I wrote the book, I checked off the lists of accomplishments, I reached the goals, I took the pictures, I made the posts, I built the businesses. But, as I was becoming, with all of the likes, shares and the shiny gold medals this world offers, comparison, fear and feelings of inadequacy were my closest companions.
So, I forced myself to face myself daily. I connected with strength, reached out for help, did more personal work. I wouldn’t be satisfied until my internal truth matched my external perception.
As I prepare to enter year 39, I embrace a new mantra, “I am fearfully and wonderfully MADE and because he is, I AM, I CAN AND I WILL! “
I AM made in the image of Christ! I AM WHO GOD SAYS I AM! I CAN have what he says I can have! I CAN do what he says I can do!
I AM ROYALTY I AM GRACED I AM CHOSEN I AM FOCUSED I AM EVOLVING I AM KNOWN I AM A LIMITED EDITION I WILL ENDURE I AM SEEN I AM AN INFLUENCER I AM LOVED I AM VALUED I AM POWERFUL I AM HEALED I AM BALANCED I AM ABOUT MY FATHER’S BUSINESS I WILL RISE I WILL FINISH STRONG!
I AM A MAJORfit!
I’m grateful for year 38, it was a blessing, now I enter a new chapter.
Year 39 .. I’m ready for ya!
